MilDef Supports First AbMN-Modified MC-130J
Small form factor USB Matrix from MilDef Inc. provides rugged, flexible input and output for advanced Airborne Mission Networking (AbMN) secure communications suite.
Sept. 28, 2020 – BREA, Calif. MilDef Inc, provider of rugged, customized electronics solutions for the defense market, has custom designed a USB Matrix for Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) for use in the first MC-130J to be equipped with the Airborne Mission Networking (AbMN) secure communications suite.
AbMN provides US Air Force operators a single set of critical mission data, eliminating the need to monitor multiple systems. With four inputs and four outputs, MilDef’s SSW2101 USB Matrix enables the AbMN suite with seamless, instantaneous switching.
The USB Matrix is part of MilDef’s 19”/2 product line of rugged mountable computer, network and power devices. Designed for interoperability and open architecture implementations, modular 19”/2 products easily integrate into existing system infrastructures and communicate seamlessly across existing transmission mediums.
Rugged 19”2 electronic solutions are ideal for aircraft like the MC-130J for several reasons:

● Can be mounted in a space envelope that is half of a standard 19” rack
