KONGSBERG, MilDef, Sysint, Teleplan and Thales signs agreement on potential collaboration on digitalization of ground combat platforms

KONGSBERG, MilDef, Sysint, Teleplan Globe and Thales Norway signs agreement for potential collaboration on digitalization of ground combat platforms. The Norwegian companies have complementary backgrounds, capabilities and products, and have converging interest in the digitalization of ground combat platforms in both the Norwegian and international markets.

The purpose of the agreement is to establish a framework relationship in order to discuss and collaborate on identified opportunities within the Norwegian project “P9360 Stridsvognkapasitet til Hæren” (new main battle tanks for the Norwegian Army).

The collaboration will further develop the CORTEX modular digital C4I solution. CORTEX C4I is a result of the development of the Integrated Combat Solution (ICS) for the Norwegian Army. CORTEX C4I ensures the upcoming new main battle tanks can collaborate seamlessly with the recently upgraded state-of-the-art CV90 infantry fighting vehicle fleet.

The CORTEX C4I will ensure a fully digitalized new main battle tank, allowing operations with cross-domain functionalities, taking the Norwegian Army to the next level of operational capability.
