MilDef’s ACS Family includes rugged AC/DC adapters for mobile IT equipment, rugged computers and display systems that require stable 19 VDC power. In field environments, power adapters often face water, sand, shock, drops and EMC exposure that commercial desktop power supplies cannot handle.

Compared with standard AC adapters, ACS units add rugged aluminium housings, EMC filter boards and reinforced cable sheaths. Therefore, the family supports defense and security applications where the power adapter must match the environmental demands of the connected equipment.

Worldwide AC input support makes ACS suitable for international deployments and mixed infrastructure environments. In addition, selected 400 Hz support enables use in specific platform and field power contexts where standard 50–60 Hz operation is not enough.

Rugged alternative to desktop power supplies

ACS adapters support mobile IT equipment in environments where standard commercial power supplies become a weak point. As a result, the power supply can better match the ruggedness of the connected device.

19 VDC power for mobile systems

Both ACS series convert worldwide AC input into regulated 19 VDC output. This supports compatible rugged laptops, tablets, mobile computers and selected display systems.

Field-ready mechanical and electrical protection

IP65 protection, aluminium housing design, reinforced cable sheaths and electrical safety functions support reliable use in demanding field environments. In addition, optional TEMPEST variants support applications with stricter information security requirements.

ACS90 and ACS150 provide two rugged AC/DC adapter options for 19 VDC equipment. ACS90 supports 90 W output power for lower-power mobile IT systems, rugged tablets and selected displays. Meanwhile, ACS150 increases output capacity to 150 W for higher-power rugged laptops and display systems.

    The ACS150 Series is a rugged AC/DC adapter for mobile IT equipment, rugged laptops and display systems that require stable 19 VDC power. It converts 100–240 VAC input into 19 VDC output, supporting worldwide AC power environments and selected 400 Hz use cases. Compared with commercial desktop power supplies, the ACS150 adds water, sand, shock, drop and EMC protection for demanding field use. In addition, the IP65-rated aluminium housing, reinforced cable sheath and optional TEMPEST variants support integration into defense and security applications.
